BFC is seeking the time, energy, skills, and passion of volunteers for the 2022 summer outreach season. We are accepting volunteers for June to September 2022.
One of the many ways Buffalo Field Campaign (BFC) works to protect America’s last wild bison is through
education and outreach. During the summer months when the buffalo are generally safe inside the boundaries of Yellowstone, BFC focuses its efforts on educating the public about the struggles and needs of the Yellowstone Bison. During this time, BFC needs dedicated individuals to come assist in our tabling efforts, camping out within Yellowstone National Park.
Volunteering during the summer is a great way to experience the wildlife of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Housing and meals are provided. June to August, volunteers will camp and run an educational table in Yellowstone with a schedule of 5 days on and 2 days off per week leaving plenty of time to explore the park and experience buffalo and other wildlife. Volunteers will also be assisting in important camp renovation projects and firewood cutting. There will be shifts of volunteers tabling and shifts helping base camp renovate and prepare for winter. Days off are spent at BFC headquarters on the shores of beautiful Hebgen Lake, with lots of swimming and hiking opportunities available. We are happy to work with students on internship opportunities as well.
Please join us and stand with the last wild buffalo!
